Rocky Lick Brick Solve the problem of maternal reproduction, prolong the peak period of lactation, prevent pica, improve feed conversion rate and improve animal health index.

1. Umbilitis
Calf umbilical cord inflammation is mainly due to calf umbilical cord infection caused by inflammation. When calves break their umbilicus, poor sanitation in the delivery room, lax disinfection of umbilical cord, lax disinfection of hands and instruments of delivery personnel, unclean, damp and untimely replacement of grass in the house, and mutual sucking of umbilical cord between newborn calves can all lead to umbilical cord infection and umbilical cord inflammation. Sick cow spirit depressed, loss of appetite, body temperature, breathing and pulse speed. The umbilical cord and tissue are swollen, hard on palpation, and the sick calf has a pain response. The broken end of the umbilical cord is moist, some can squeeze out pus and stench, and some can not squeeze out pus due to the closure of the broken end of the umbilical cord, but abscess can be formed around the umbilical hole. Severe can cause sepsis, such as infection with tetanus bacillus, can cause tetanus. During treatment, the umbilicus and surrounding tissues can be cut, disinfected with 3% hydrogen peroxide or 1% ~ 2% potassium permanganate, and then injected with procaine penicillin subcutaneously around the umbilicus. If an abscess has formed, cut the abscess, remove the pus, remove the necrotic tissue, disinfect the wound with 5% iodine tincture, and sprinkle sulfa powder to bind it. Preventive measures for the cow prenatal strict disinfection of the delivery room, and do a good job of environmental sanitation, postpartum broken umbilicus, should be strictly disinfected.
2. Diarrhea
This disease is an intestinal infectious disease of newborn calves accompanied by a series of severe pathological reactions, and it is the main disease leading to the death of calves. Calves within 20 days of age are susceptible, 2 to 7 days of age are more frequent, and the mortality rate is also higher. The cause of the disease is complex, mainly due to the low resistance of calves, poor feeding management, digestive dysfunction, external environmental stress and infection of pathogenic microorganisms and other reasons. At the beginning of the disease, the appetite of the sick cattle is decreased, most of the body temperature is normal or low, the number of defecation increases, and the excrement is yellow and white with odor. With the development of the course of the disease, the body temperature of the cow can be as high as 40~42 ℃, the sick cow is depressed, like lying down, loss of appetite or waste, the nasal mirror is dry, the pulse and respiration are accelerated, and the yellow-green color with blood clots, bloodshot peptone-like or watery feces are discharged, and the feces stench. In the late stage of the disease, the body temperature of the sick cow dropped, the eyeball of the sick cow was sunken, the skin lacked elasticity and was severely dehydrated. Due to the complex causes of the disease, diagnosis is difficult, more comprehensive therapy. Ban milk for 8-10 hours, and at the same time take oral rehydration salt, 3.5g sodium chloride, 1.5g potassium chloride, 2.5g sodium bicarbonate, 20g glucose powder, add 1,000 ml water to mix well, and replenish 50-100 ml per kilogram of body weight. Use laxative or warm water enema to exclude gastrointestinal contents and regulate gastrointestinal function. 2 grams of lactic acid and 20 grams of fish fat can be used, and 90 milliliters of water can be added to mix evenly. Each time, 5-6 milliliters are poured, 2-3 times a day. You can also use "compound sulfamethoxazole" (the main ingredient is sulfamethoxazole),55-60 mg/kg body weight, 5-10 lactobacillus tablets, 0.3 grams per tablet, 5-10 eatesheng tablets, 0.2 grams per tablet, mixed and taken orally once, twice a day for 2-3 days. Anti-inflammatory can be long-acting sulfonamide 0.1~0.3 grams per kilogram of body weight, once a day oral. Or sulfamidine, the first amount of 2~5 grams, maintenance amount of 1~3 grams, 2~3 times a day for oral administration. Or intramuscular injection of chloramphenicol 0.01~0.03 grams per kilogram of body weight, 3 times a day, even injection for 3 days. For those with mild dehydration, oral liquid can be taken with 20g of glucose, 3.5g of sodium chloride, 1.5g of potassium chloride, 2.5g of sodium bicarbonate and 1,000 ml of water. The amount of rehydration should depend on the weight of dehydration, generally between 1,000 and 1,500 ml. When dehydration is serious, infusion should be carried out: 500 ml of glucose physiological saline, 300-500 ml of compound sodium chloride solution (the main components are sodium chloride and potassium chloride), 200-300 ml of 5% sodium bicarbonate solution, 5 ml of 10% sodium bicarbonate solution, 1 time for mild illness and 2-3 times for severe illness. For newly born calves, preventive doses of antibiotics can be administered as soon as possible, which has a certain effect on preventing the occurrence of this disease. Vaccines made from locally prevalent pathogenic Escherichia coli strains were injected into pregnant cows, which can effectively control the occurrence of calf diarrhea. For late pregnancy cows to supply adequate protein and vitamin feed, for newborn calves should be timely feeding colostrum. Pay attention to the barn dry and clean health, adhere to the barn, cattle pen, cattle bed, sports ground and the environment thoroughly disinfected.
Effectively improve the survival rate, effectively control the incidence of diarrhea and pneumonia

3 Pneumonia
Calf pneumonia is a common and multiple disease of calves in winter and spring. The house is cold and humid, with poor ventilation. Harmful gases often accumulate in the house, which is attacked by the thief wind, rain and snow. Feeding density is too large and other reasons are easy to make calves pneumonia. Sick calves are depressed in spirit, anorexia or disuse, dyspnea, abdominal breathing, cough at the beginning of the disease, dry and painful at the beginning, and then become wet, with body temperature as high as 39.5~42.0 ℃, serous mucopurulent secretions flowing in both nostrils, dry or wet gong sounds in auscultation lungs, and semi-turbid sounds can be heard in percussion lungs. Most of the sick cattle have normal appetite, thin body, intermittent cough, development is blocked. If not treated in time, many deaths due to breathing difficulties. The principle of treatment is mainly to strengthen nursing, antibacterial anti-inflammatory and expectorant cough and symptomatic treatment. Penicillin can be used in 1.3-14000 units per kilogram of body weight and streptomycin in 3.0-35000 units, plus appropriate amount of water for injection, intramuscular injection 2-3 times a day for 5-7 days. At the same time, symptomatic treatment, injection of drugs to protect liver, detoxify and promote inflammatory secretions, can choose the following drugs, glucose normal saline 500 ml, 25% glucose solution 250 ml, 10% sodium salicylate injection 30-50 ml, 40% urotropine injection 20 ml, 10% sodium caffeine injection 5-10 ml, with good preparation, one intravenous injection. Keep the cattle house clean and sanitary, dry, ventilated, heat preservation, strengthen feeding management, maintain a reasonable feeding density, and give nutritious feed to improve the disease resistance of calves.
